The History of Breitling Watches:

The first workshop was opened in eighteen eighty four by Leon Breitling. His goal was to create pocket watches and precision counters for industry and science research. The workshop was located in the Jura mountains of Switzerland, but Breitling found that to realy launch himself and the business he would have to relocate. In eighteen ninety two he moved to La Chaux-de-Fonds, the Swiss watch making center which had be known around the globe.

When Leon Breitling died his son, Gaston, took over the business. At the time of World War I, Gaston recognised the need for high-precision watches in an increasing age of aviation. In nineteen fifteen he produced the first chronograph wristwatch for sale, specifically for pilots.

From here onwards, Breitling’s chronograph watches were recognised as the definitive timepiece for aviation, strengthened by becoming the official air force supplier in nineteen thirty six. In modern times Breitling have continued the tradition of producing high quality aviator watches, opening to a broader market of consumers looking for the superior watch.

Breitling Chronomat –

The first watch launched. Sold today in a similar style, the Chronomat watch features high precision mechanisms for increased accuracy.

Often compared the the Omega Seamaster professional, the Colt Ocean watch is a high function watch with classic styling.

Breitling Navitimer –

Launched in nineteen fifty two, the Navitimer watch features a unique navigation computer. It remains a favourite with pilots around the world.
