Gucci Luxury Watches

The company was created by Guccio Gucci, a man with a passion for all things stylish and elegant. As a young man he worked at the London Savoy as a lift attendant. During this time he saw many fashionable pieces of luggage and decided to setup his own business to create these products.

In nineteen twenty one Gucci opened his first shop in Florence, selling handcrafted luggage and saddlery. Due to high demand he opened a larger workshop a began to produce extended ranges of product including handbags.

The clientele of the Gucci shop grew steadily with sophisticated customers generating word of mouth publicity for this fine craftsman. New shops were in opened in nineteen fifty three at a number of locations: Rome, Milan and Florence.

As the years passed the icon fashion and the ‘status symbol’ became all the more prevalent. High-Class customers sought out luxury goods to earmark them as ‘successful.’ This increasing age of consumerism (starting around the nineteen sixties) helped propel Gucci even further.

As the brand grew, new products were created. As a luxury goods company, creating watches was a natural extension for the company. Watch design and development took place, and the resulting Gucci watches were launched. Every watch embodied the ethos over the company – style and elegance – Gucci watches were fine quality items.

Today there is a wide choice of watches depending on your tastes. Gucci has become a brand of fine taste, so the watches are worn everywhere they can be seen – for business, leisure and dress.
