The History of Rolex Watches:

The Rolex company began in nineteen zero five when it was established, in London, by a Bavarian businessman named Hans Wilsdorf. The components for the Rolex watches were not manufactured by the company at that time. Instead they were brought in from various Swiss companies and assembled by Rolex into finished watches.

At the turn of the century only pocket watches were created, as wrist watches were though to be a women’s fashion accessory. However as times changed Wilsdorf could see fashions moving with the years, thinking that Rolex should become involved in selling wrist watches. He began to specialise in this, a business foresight that led Rolex watches to crush the opposition and hold the market on the watch industry in Britain.

From this envied position the Rolex company then continued to improve upon their watches, seeking high quality and performance. They commissioned Swiss watchmakers to produce a revolutionary watch mechanism, creating unsurpassed accuracy.

Onward from there, and continuing to the modern day, Rolex have the same reputation for outstanding quality, continuing to manufacture a range of watches anyone would take pride to wear.
