Citizen watches operate in over thirty companies through the globe with over three thousand employees working for them. Many of the advances made by Citizen in alternate industries to watch making comes from their experience in creating watches. Their milestones include creating the first shockproof watches, - launched in Japan, the first electronic watches and the first waterproof models. Citizen watches have a whole range of watch making firsts. Creating an electronic watch first needed a battery to power it. This was developed by Citizen who created the first analog solar battery watch. The experience in this field lead them towards microelectronics production. Now Citizen are responsible for manufacturing a wide rang of office products in addition to their watches. These include: disk drives, video projectors, printers and liquid crystal displays. The current range of Citizen watches and clocks is highly varied, but all use their innovative and precise technology. The Citizen company became the worlds largest watch manufacturer in nineteen eighty six and have gone from strength to strength ever since. The Citizen watches range includes: The Citizen Eco Drive Perpetual Calendar Chronograph – features a two hundred and seventy day power reserve , automatically adjusting month complication, alarm, stainless steel bracelet and is one hundred meters water resistant. Citizen Mickey Mouse Watches – a really fun watch! They come with a range of watch straps, cases and colours. However the main feature of this watch range is the Mickey Mouse design set upon every model. Citizen watches have produced a great model here for kids, or adults who haven’t grown up. |
