Obviously when buying a special gift for someone it is important to select the most appropriate model possible. Spending time, effort and of course money on a ladies gift can become frustrating if the gift must be returned or never worn. To choose the optimum gift it is best to have a number of criteria in mind when selecting a ladies watch.

You may wish to make a note of these questions / guidelines and apply them when choosing a ladies watch:

1) What is its intended use? – broadly speaking ladies watches are produced in narrower genres than mens. The two categories are usually dress and casual. So will the watch be worn for going out to restaurants, socialising etc, or for everday use. A beautiful jewelled Cartier is fabulous watch, but should it be worn everyday? – perhaps not.

2) What is the budget? – Ladies watches, the same as gentlemens, come in a wide range of budgts. To narrow your selection before buying, and to save time, it is best to have a price range in mind.

3) Does the lady prefer large models or the smaller sizes? – most people think of ladies watches as being very small and elegant. Whilst this is true, there are larger models available. Some women prefer classical smaller models, whilst other prefer a more masculine feel. The choice between these can be vital for making up your mind.
